I grew up with dogs. They weren’t just pets — they were family. They were always there, always part of the story, and somehow always right in the middle of everything. That never really changed.

For the past 22 years, I’ve been a professional wedding and family photographer, documenting people during some of the most important moments of their lives. But if you looked through my phone — or my professional camera — you’d notice something pretty quickly: my own dogs are always in front of the lens. Sitting, running, tilting their heads at just the right moment. The quiet moments. The goofy ones. The ones you never want to forget.

The idea for Pupperazzi really clicked during a visit to a friend’s home in Houston. Walking into his living room, on the wall was a beautifully framed collage of his dog — not a phone snapshot, not an afterthought, but real, intentional artwork. The kind of piece that instantly tells you, this dog matters. It hit me right then: why doesn’t New Orleans have something like this?

We are one of the most dog-friendly cities in the country. Dogs are part of our culture here — on porches, in parades, at bars and coffee shops, on neighborhood walks. They’re family. They deserve more than just a quick photo on a phone that gets buried in a camera roll.

Pupperazzi Studio was created to give dog lovers in New Orleans the chance to celebrate their pets the same way they celebrate the people they love — with beautiful, lasting artwork meant to live on the walls of their homes.
